Overview
ProsperTrip helps families and small groups organize shared travel plans. We collect and use information only to provide, protect, support, and improve the app.

Information We Collect
- Account information, such as the email address you use for sign-in and optional profile details you add.
- Trip information, such as trip names, dates, countries, itinerary events, notes, places, travelers, reservations, confirmation references, and assigned travelers.
- Private Trip Assistant messages and the travel documents you select for an assistant conversation.
- Photos and related metadata when you upload profile photos, traveler headshots, trip cover photos, or event photos.
- Reader access information, such as trip codes and read-only tokens used to show shared trips to invited travelers.
- Notification information, such as app installation identifiers, notification preferences, app version, device platform, and push notification tokens when enabled.
- Support communications you send to us, including your email address and the content of your request.
- Basic technical information from our hosting and security systems, such as timestamps, IP addresses, request paths, logs, and error diagnostics.
How We Use Information
- To create accounts, verify sign-in codes, and keep you signed in.
- To create, display, sync, share, and update trips and related travel content.
- To provide read-only trip access through trip codes.
- To store and deliver photos, notifications, and support responses.
- To prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, maintain security, and improve reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
Trip Assistant and ChatGPT
ProsperTrip may offer an optional Trip Assistant and ChatGPT connector. When you use the Trip Assistant, your messages, selected travel documents or images, and relevant details from the current trip are processed by OpenAI so the assistant can answer questions and make requested trip changes. ProsperTrip does not require you to use AI features to create, edit, or view trips.
ProsperTrip keeps each Trip Assistant conversation private to the signed-in user and retains that history until the user chooses Clear Chat or the account is deleted. Clearing a chat does not undo changes already made to a trip.
OpenAI states that data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default. Even when ProsperTrip requests that OpenAI not durably store a response, limited abuse-monitoring retention may still apply under OpenAI's API data controls.
Sharing
Trip editors can share read-only access using trip codes. Anyone with a valid trip code may be able to view the shared trip information, so only share codes with people you trust.
We may share information with service providers that help operate ProsperTrip, such as hosting, storage, email delivery, push notification infrastructure, analytics or diagnostics, and customer support tools. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and Deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide ProsperTrip, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain backups. Trip Assistant history remains until Clear Chat or account deletion. You can request account or trip deletion by emailing support@prospertrip.com from the email address associated with your account.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect ProsperTrip data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so please use care when sharing trip codes and avoid storing highly sensitive personal information in trip notes.
Children
ProsperTrip is intended for general travel planning by adults and families. It is not directed to children under 13, and children should use ProsperTrip only with a parent or guardian.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at https://prospertrip.com/privacy with a new effective date.
